Automation Consulting

Automation consulting that ends in working software

Most digital transformation consulting produces a roadmap and an invoice. We audit your operation, rank the opportunities by payback, and then build the automations ourselves — so the recommendation and the result come from the same team.

There's a reason "transformation programme" makes operators wince. The traditional model separates the people who advise from the people who implement, which means the advice never has to survive contact with your actual systems. Twelve months later there's a strategy document and not much else.

We work the other way round. The audit exists to produce a build queue, and we're the ones who work through it — which keeps recommendations honest, because we have to live with them.

What an automation audit covers

Two weeks, not two quarters.

Discovery

Where the hours actually go

We interview the people doing the work — not just the people managing it — and map the repeating tasks across every function, with real time and volume attached.

Assessment

Automation readiness

Which processes have clear rules, clean data and API-accessible systems, and which need fixing first. Honest answers, including "don't automate this yet."

Prioritisation

Ranked by payback, not novelty

Every candidate scored on frequency, rule clarity and cost of error, then ordered so the earliest builds fund the later ones.

Governance

Guardrails and approvals

Where humans must stay in the loop, what gets logged, and who owns each workflow once it's live. Our framework →

Roadmap

A build queue with dates

A sequenced plan naming each workflow, its owner, its expected return and when it ships — short enough to read in one sitting.

Delivery

Then we build it

The same team implements the roadmap under a monthly plan. No handoff, no re-discovery, no second vendor.

Who this is for

Teams between 5 and 200 people who know they're losing hours to manual work but can't see the whole map — and who want the diagnosis and the fix from one team. If you already know exactly which workflow you want, skip the audit: book a call and we'll just build it.

What it costs

For most companies the audit is included when you start on a build plan — because its purpose is to produce work, not billable hours. Larger or multi-department engagements are scoped separately. See pricing.

Questions, answered

What does an automation consultant do?
An automation consultant audits how work currently moves through a business, identifies which processes can be automated, assesses whether the data and systems are ready, and produces a prioritised roadmap. At Oryro the consultant and the build team are the same people, so the roadmap turns into working automations rather than a document.
What is digital transformation consulting?
Digital transformation consulting helps a business redesign how it operates using technology — replacing manual, paper-based or fragmented processes with connected, automated ones. In practice most of the value comes from a handful of high-frequency processes, which is why we prioritise by payback rather than running a company-wide programme.
How long does an automation audit take?
Two weeks for most companies: interviews with the people doing the work, a systems and data readiness check, and a ranked build queue with expected returns. Larger multi-department engagements take longer and are scoped up front.
Do you implement the roadmap or just advise?
We implement. The audit exists to produce a build queue that we then work through under a monthly plan, and we keep operating the workflows after they go live. There is no handoff to a separate integrator.
What if our processes are not ready to automate?
That is a legitimate finding and we will tell you. Sometimes the right first step is cleaning data, consolidating a tool, or writing down rules that only live in someone's head. We would rather say that than build an automation on a foundation that will collapse.
